This little 5X7" sucker took me three full days of work...ending the notion I had that painting acrylics smaller would also be faster. In point of fact it was really just as difficult as a large piece-probably because painting small on canvas requires extreme steadiness. It was based about 5 r 6 times before I even considered painting anything on it, just to smooth it out. And my hands, having to be held ultra steady for hours on end gave me the nervous shakes when I stopped for the day. Anyway, I do like the results and you may see Scritch the dumbo rat in future pieces of mine.
Awesome...I didn't get to see who bought it since I couldn't get to the charity show myself but I am so glad it got bought by someone who likes it. I hope you got it ok with the frame yes? I didn't attach it because alhough I did like the frame I wasn't sure if anyone else would so left it with the canvas but unattached (removing a frame from canvas can be really tricky). Happy it has a good home!
I did get it OK, including with the frame. It's sitting on my art bookshelf right now, along with several cross-stiches of Ozy and Millie characters, a surprised sea-alien, and a one-of-a-kind PG painting of the members of The Golden Lash.
Wow, this is REALLY cute and so well done! You have such talent with those paints. It's cool how you signed your name on the pencil... And the rat is just sooooooo cute! I have to fav it... Rats are my favorite!
